This work was probably printed in 1700, it representing Assisi of Georgis Hoesnagel was done by I. Blaeu during the 18th century and it is seen from a bird’s eye view. This Assisi is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cartographic representations from an artistic point of view. Realized according to the copper engraving technique it consists of several sheets on cuts of cloth, which improves its maintenance, makes its legibility casier and facilitates the transport. The last process is the watercolour painting (handwork), in order to obtain a map with a nice polychromatic effect.
